We're kicking off our 2nd 10m team soon an I hope everyone is as excited as I am about. While I'm excited I'm not losing track of reality, there are only 10 more spots opening and the same rules as the current 10m team apply. We need reliable players who are willing to put in effort to keep improving their performance. Players who take the time to watch videos on boss fights and can then adapt their play if needed. Players who understand decisions made are always based on what's best for the raid and it's never personal.
By now, with our Flex runs, everyone has had opportunities to see where they need to improve, whether it's low DPS/HPS, lack of awareness(the number one reason raids wipe), or just having issues with mechanics. We use the Flex runs to evaluate these types of things and know who needs to work on what, but with 4 officers we can't spend our days doing all the legwork for people. If you think you're under-performing and need help take the initiative to get it. Ask someone doing better than you for tips, or Google a class guide, check YouTube for videos. I have put the offer out in a previous post that I can run a Simulation on DPS and go over the breakdown with you. If you do happen to find a great class guide or video post it in our Alliance Boot Camp forum.
While on the subject of taking initiative, as a long time online gamer one thing that stays consistent is members of guilds thinking it's the job of an officer group to make sure the members play time is as fantastic as it can be. When that becomes the mindset of a guild the members are giving ownership of their fun to a couple people and it's unfair to everyone. Currently our main focus in Desecration as officers is to maintain order along with managing raid teams. We would love to see people stepping up when they see an opportunity. Things like recruiting & event planning can be done by anyone. If you need ICC achievements, don't wait for an officer to plan a run, put one on the calendar and promote it. See someone in trade chat looking for a guild, send a whisper and chat with them to see if they would be a good fit. Want to PvP, race Gnomes across the Eastern Kingdom, chain run scenarios, hunt rares, or any of the numerous things there are to do in WoW, plan it, promote it, lead it and if you need any help the officers are here to assist.
That's all i have today. If interested in joining the 2nd team reply to this thread and make sure you study the first few boss fights. We'd like to get this team working together as soon as possible.
